Mongolia

Odd title for our BohuntinHill walk this evening but it will serve to jog my memory,
On the way up I met a mother with her two wee boys, perhaps 2 and 4 years of age. Tiredness had kicked in for the children and they were descending, the lady carrying the younger boy. We chatted for a wee while. Her husband was continuing on up hill to the summit. They were on a family holiday from Mongolia. My experieneof this far off land is limited to television documentaries featuring people who lived a nomadic life style  crossing grassy plains with rolling hills and towering mountains beyond. Despite the beauty of her homeland she explained how impressed they were with the Scottish Highlands.
She seemed used to walking on steep ground and continued nimbly downward still carrying her son.
At the top I met her husand. He was keen to have Ben Nevis picked out for him. He correctly concluded the tourist path was on the side away from us and explained he had climbed it also on an another holiday visit to Scotland five years ago. Though brief it was lovely to chat with the couple.
