On the way to St Abbs.......

This is a view of the fishing port of Eyemouth just north of Berwick-upon-Tweed. We had parked near Eyemouth to walk along the coast to St Abbs.

It was another warm and beautiful day, and it was my day's choice of where we went today. I'm more natural history rather than history, unlike my other half. So we had history yesterday, and wildlife today.

The cliffs at St Abbs are full of guillimots, razorbills and kittiwakes with their young. You can also see Bass Rock in the distance. There were plenty of gannets about too, probably from their nests on Bass Rock.

The extra is a shot of a fisherman feeding a grey seal in Eyemouth harbour. Apparently his father started feeding them about 15 years ago, and they still keep coming back for more. They are not tame creatures, they just know how to get an easy meal!
