Wound up in Wexford

Cinnabar moth caterpillars

We have a self-seeded ragwort on the edge of the pond.  It's starting to look a bit ragged, and when I looked closely at it today, it was obvious why.  It's covered in caterpillars.

I'm not aware of seeing a cinnabar moth in the garden, but one has obviously visited us.

It's been another scorcher of a day.  We've both been relatively lazy, after our busy day yesterday, though I did go shopping and I've made some progress on the latest project - I might blip it when it's a bit further progressed.  W has cooked some food, and we'll eat soon, before going out in the cooler evening to water the plants.
