The Lozarithm Lens

Smokey 0952 hr (Saturday 28th July 2018)

Although I wandered into Calne to see the Motor Bike Meet, and drove over to Melksham to make a couple of calls in the afternoon I was uninspired and had nothing I wanted to blip. It was pleasant to be immobilised by rain rather than heat, but I gather the sun will be back on Monday.
The porch windowsill is a new place for Smokey. He isn't himself at the moment, and may be losing weight. I think he's bothered by fleas, though I haven't found any proof.  Good news for Smokey - there are some Front Line pipettes for fleas on the way from Amazon, and I just smuggled some worming powder into his Whiskas.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez - Wild Thing (recorded live, Louisiana Musicians Hurricane Benefit, Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet LA, 13 November  2005)
One of the many highlights of Reginald D Hunter's Songs Of The Border documentary, broadcast on this day, was to see Carrie Rodriguez performing in Austin TX. She came over to the UK touring with Chip Taylor a few years ago and they recorded an Andy Kershaw session in which they performed one of Chip Taylor's early compositions, Wild Thing, a big hit for the Troggs of course and memorably performed by Jimi Hendrix at Monterey.
