Kolverath, Bereborn & Mannebach

The title may sound like an American law firm, but in fact these are three villages in Germany, near Gunderath where we are staying for our holiday. These three villages are visible in this shot.

Today I went swimming with the girls in the morning. After lunch we had a lazy afternoon in our cottage and since no-one felt like cooking, we went out for dinner in the restaurant in the holiday park. After dinner, we ran into another family from Ten Boer (where we are living). What are the odds?

I did want to go out for photography after dinner, but I needed a location nearby and I hadn't found one yet. Some gazing at Google Maps revealed an observation tower 10 minutes away by car. A bit of a gamble, but it worked out beautifully! Great light on the hills, followed by a beautiful sunset. Hard to choose, so I've uploaded three shots today (two are in the extras). The main photo was taken from the tower with a long lens. Around sunset I came down and took some more shots from the ground.
