Sue at Athelhampton

I visited Athelhampton again today with my friend from Suffolk. The gardens were a riot of colour despite the heat . It was very quiet with only a few couples looking round . By contrast the house seemed very dark after the brightness outside . Still love the paintings of Morvenna .

Later we all went to see Illyria Theatre Company perform The Pirates of Penzance at Sherborne Garden Centre . Such fun and so cleverly presented. We took blankets and fleeces but it remained hot throughout the evening- very continental.
