Ricinus communis

The ripening fruits of my Castor Oil Plant looked intriguing in the morning sunshine.
The plants originates from east Africa and is cultivated for its seeds and grown (as I do) as an ornamental garden plant.
The seeds contain a dangerous chemical known as ricin!!
I think that was the poision used in 1978 to murder Georgi Markov on Waterloo bridge in London?!!
