Drop Zone

Shot at extreme zoom range close to Great America Theme Park in Santa Clara California. This ride takes participants slowly up a 207 foot tower, stops, waits for a few seconds and drops you completely to the ground at a speed of 60 mph. It takes only a few seconds to return to the bottom.

I used to know some high-tech people that worked near this park that had an extended pass that allowed you to ride unlimited. As I was told, this was the therapy for working in a small high-tech start-up - equivalent to jumping off a cliff (only safer due to the magnets on this one).
