Welcome

The Festival is now in full swing and the centre of the city is bedecked with these flags and messages. Sums up the more general signal emanating from certain quarters about Scotland as a country.

Despite political differences the message was extended to the Prime Minister visting Edinburgh today. Heading home after a lengthy senior management team meeting I was held up while the police stopped traffic to let what I presume to be the PM’s entourage head for the airport. I have only a blurred photo of a passing vehicle as proof!
