Promises, promises

But no rain fell :-( We had lunch with the lights on, it was so gloomy, and watched it rain elsewhere.

Our old water feature from Surrey has been reinstalled; still a bit wonky but that's easily sorted. We bought it many moons ago and the birds love sipping the water as it dribbles down the side so we've positioned it to be as visible as possible from indoors.

Poppydog has improved immensely at her third hydrotherapy session; lots more hip mobility and really kicking out her back legs this time. We've noticed she's getting a bit of spring back when we're out walking so it seems money well spent. A couple more sessions before we head off North. The lovely hydrotherapist brought me some duck eggs as her ducks are laying quicker than she (and her dogs - three Newfoundlands!) can manage and I've never tasted them. Whilst I was there she received two cancellations for that day which has obviously left it far too late for her to fill from her waiting list. She said it was the norm but I was angry on her behalf. Surely people realise it's her livelihood and cancelling just because something more interesting has come up is inconsiderate to me.

The last pictures have been hung, another three planters potted up, windows cleaned inside and now watching some of the action at the European Championships.

And, hot off the press, LD has just told us that she passed her Advanced International Taxation (Jurisdiction)(I had to look that up!) exam - and got the best mark overall. So very pleased for her as she has always committed 100%, plus the paper was mis-set so she was very anxious about the outcome. Proud Mum :-D No more exams - hip hip HOORAY!!!
