Soldier Beetles

The Common Red Soldier Beetle is a medium-sized, narrow beetle commonly found on open-structured flowers such as daises, Cow Parsley and Hogweed.   More often than not adults will be seen in pairs and spend much of their short lives in courtship.  Depending on one's point of view some might say that all in all they lead very pleasant lives. :-)).  However moving on, I think they're one of our more attractive beetles and like Ladybirds I don't mind at all if I have to pick them up occasionally.

Thank you for the response to yesterday's MM shot, the comments and stars are much appreciated;  it was a case of needs must as my blip walk had produced nothing.
