Edinburgh’s Green Belt

Today, His Lordship and I had an unexpected visit to a place in the south of Edinburgh, an imposing house set in well cared for gardens, with a lovely staff and lunch thrown in. We missed any scones but the three course meal made up for it.

It was so relaxing to sit after the meal with coffee and watch the wind and sun playing on the trees. Occasionally a sudden squall would rip through the grounds and the scene changed dramatically.
It was refreshing to be far from the madding crowd in downtown Edinburgh and find peace and serenity instead in the almost countryside.
