Sailing on Christian Radich: Off duty!

The trainees are divided in three watches. Every watch work 4 hours, are off duty 8 hours, work 4 hours more, and then 8 hours free. 

We are sailing without stop and the trainees love their watches, even those that have the middle watch + first dogwatch. Sailing during the night in darkness is quite special. 

There is always someone working, sleeping or spending their off duty time on deck.
