juvenile collared doves in nest

early in the morning three days ago there was a noisy disagreement between two collared doves (no doubt the parents of the juveniles shown here) and several magpies.  the doves were much more aggressive and the magpies eventually retreated.

however, I do not know whether the unguarded nest was pilfered during this episode.
