Tripoli Shrine Center

This building, located in downtown Milwaukee, took two years to build & opened in 1928. It's considered one of the best examples of Moorish Revival Architecture in the U. S., & was designed by architects Clas & Shepard, who loosely based their design on the Taj Mahal. "The ornately tiled main dome spans 30 feet in diameter and is flanked by two smaller domes of the same design. Sculptures of a pair of kneeling camels grace the entrance". We pass this building when we take the direct route home from the hospital, & it being Sunday, it was a good day to get a picture of it without lots of cars out front.
Last day for this session of Tom's chemo, and all went well. :))
