Cygnets

A family group of two adults and three cygnets being fed (or watered) on the shore at Lamlash. The adults were extremely protective and standing guard as the youngsters ate/drank. This was taken on our way back to Auchrannie after a few hours on the beach at Kildonan. See the extra for the view of Pladda and Ailsa Craig. I've Blipped this view twice before and nearly made it a hat trick but the cygnets won. It was really sunny and hot on the beach but cloudier back in Brodick.

It's happy birthday to me today. At the moment I'm celebrating with a cup of tea before my sister and I head off to the spa for treatments. While this is happening the young will be firing up the BBQ at their lodge and we'll be eating al fresco tonight. So far a thoroughly lovely day.
