Paused to check the river level, in advance of the forthcoming raft race this weekend. Despite not having been in any kayak for over a year, and deciding to leave the local canoe club - twenty years is enough - have been persuaded to help with the safety cover, and rounding up of the 2,000 Wee Nessies that'll be floating down this direction. A bit nervous. Haven't been in a river kayak since the previous raft race... four years ago.
