Walking in my ancestor's footsteps

A fabulous night's sleep and then breakfast with colleagues.  It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny so I had a walk before heading to #50.

It was to Back Church Lane, over the road from Commercial Road and the likely birthplace of my 2 x great grandmother, Emma, who lived there in an Irish family and died in 1900 in Joppa.  The Kinloch of the warehouse went to Edinburgh Academy.

I caught up with colleagues and tidied up a document, which took ages and then headed back to the hotel for the breakfast (fruity) leftovers.  On the way I went back into Collectif and bought 3 (yes 3) pairs of sale shoes. The joys of small feet.

Another walk, north this time to Hackney to see Arpita's photography exhibition about purdah and the veil.  Amazingly strong women.

Tonight it's Chez Elles with M.  Better get ready.
