Scouting

(I switched the photos....so now the extra is the Blip....everyone seemed to like that one better.....so if comments don't make sense, that is why.)

The extra photo of an eagle was taken from the boat in Tillamook Bay; this Bald Eagle was sitting on a piling near the Coast Guard pier. I was surprise to see the other pilings occupied by a Seagull and a Cormorant; usually when an eagle is near the rest of the birds are no where in sight. But he was obviously looking for fish and they seemed to know it. When he swooped down to grab a fish the Seagull followed him, probably hoping he might drop something for him?
I saw the eagle in the Blip photo as we drove home in the top of a tree near the road; I drove up a dead end road and took some photo of her. She seemed to be hot because she was breathing with her mouth open and her tongue was sticking out.....also, she had her wings slightly spread. It was a beautiful day with my thermometer showing almost 80 F. It might have been warmer where she was sitting directly in the bright sunlight.
