Trek

Spent a while working out what ‘the plan’ was today, but in the end I took AR up to the shops to buy pumpkins and carving kit etc, then round to K’s for coffee and chat. AR carried a pumpkin biscuit all the way from home, round the shops and back, waiting until she was finally sat down with a little espresso cup of hot chocolate before she finally ate it!
Home for soup lunch before Mt&H took Mx off to Peterborough to try and buy a car for H (finally!....can't imagine how she’s managed without one for a year in MK). T&Kt came over with Heston and we all went for a walk across the fields to the garden centre where we had tea and cake, AR played with some other kids looking at the big coy carp in the pond, and we bought bulbs for their garden. AR was telling them how she’s already planted bulbs in her garden and how you have to ‘do digging in the soil’.
On the way home T was a bit of a magnet to the horses in the field....just as Kt was talking about her new horse Shiraz and that she’s looking forward to getting back into dressage. I’m not sure T could manage that level of equine control.
Lovely to walk in the sunshine...so warm!....and have AR chatting away and enjoying herself.
I had to leave T&Kt to look after AR till Mt&H got home so I could hit the road. Listened to East West St by Philippe Sands all the way back....enjoyed it and I get to meet him on Wednesday.
