The future's bright

As a well known telecom company once said.

I've been sorting through my camera stuff in preparation for next week at LPH and found that one of my older batteries (the one in the blip) had given up the ghost.  As these Hahnel types have given good service I decided to stick with them and avoid paying Canon's price for something quite likely made in the same factory.   The Hahnel version comes with a USB charger for the same money!  Nice bright colour too :-)

Blipped as a test of my old 50D which I'll be taking along as I don't have a 70-200 and there might be an opportunity for a telephoto landscape.  I have an old Tamron 28-300 'super-zoom' which does ok on a crop frame sensor.

Thanks to everyone who looked in on my blip yesterday of the Sky framed by the tower of St Peters.

I put a few images from our recent trip to The Wirral and Liverpool in a Flikr folder here if you are interested.  One of the shots of the Dee estuary (at low tide with the wind turbines) was accepted into the fine art landscape group and became the group banner this afternoon :-)

Off to Westonbirt tomorrow and looking forward to seeing a few blippers.
