At the Very Top of the Tree

There are at least two hummers that hang out in the neighbor's tree just over the fence. I keep hoping that some day I'll be rewarded with a glimpse of a nest, but I may have to be content with just their diving and buzzing and chirping.
We are making great progress with our gopher-proof vegetable beds. Three of them are ready to go. Now all we have to do is decide what to plant! Our wonderful helper, Lucy, is so enthusiastic about seeds that I may have to try her ideas. Although I've certainly sown some rows in the past, I'm pretty much a jumbo six-pack girl.
