Dawn at Munlochy Bay.

Met some of the wildfowlers, and had a blether with Jim. Hundreds of Greylag and Pink-footed Geese about. And thankfully not targets, were several Bramblings in the trees. Have heard them most mornings this week, in fair numbers. I don't recall such numbers about here in previous years. They don't compare with the vast numbers of Redwings there have been this year. Most of them seem to have now dispersed, leaving more normal numbers... after eating almost every Rowan berry for miles.

So mild today, after all the cycling in freezing conditions most of the week. Used the car for the first time since the first of September. It did start, on the second go, and the brakes hadn't seized up, as they're more likely to do over the coming months. Collected a huge box with a new pair of wheels for the workhorse bike. Its brakes have near enough worn out the rims of the original wheels. Pile of shopping done whilst the car was in town, along with off-loading donating some items to the charity shops.
