Fields of gold

It's been one of those days:

04:00 awake
04:11 out of bed
04:15 kettle on, toast in toaster
04:30 at my desk to hammer out more of the grant proposal

I had to be on campus for two meetings between 10:30 and 12:00 so just after 09:00 I marched up the road, blipped my blip, carried out my duties, then turned around to come back home again.

I uploaded my grant proposal at 20:00. All that needs to be done now is for a colleague in our research office to press the submit button, and we'll see what happens. The success rate for this type of grant is 14% so I am not holding my breath...

I have the joy of 5 hours of classroom teaching 10:00-15:00 tomorrow!
