Stained Glass

The weather was rather unkind to us today. So we headed out to Pooley Bridge and were rained off the hill, so took refuge in the Church of St Peter's in Martindale.

The majority of the stained glass in the church dates from 1975 created by artist Jane Grey. They are really beautiful windows. This is a tiny corner of one at the back of the church and I loved the colours from the glass turning the cobwebs blue and lilac.

Once the weather dried out, and on our way back we headed to Aira Force. We stopped off in Pooley Bridge for scones and coffee and a visit to a fantastic gin shop!

We then took some photos of Aira Waterfall and surrounding area before the light gave up.
