He (finally) Saw the Light

After returning home from the Veterans Day memorial service, we went for a hike at North Chagrin Reservation.  We made our annual trek along the ridge overlooking the river valley to what we call “Proposal Point” in light of our upcoming anniversary of nuptial bliss...where Mr Mole proposed to me on one knee, about an hour after we tied the knot at the courthouse...28 years after we first locked eyes in my high school cafeteria. One brother-in-law teased him for not wanting to “rush into anything.”

Extra: The Veterans ceremony was held at the fire station this morning since the village triangle was under preparation for the holidays. Three high school students read their award-winning contest essays about “What Veterans Day Means to Me.”  All were very well-done. I particularly favored this gal’s essay talking about this veteran who never paid for a meal at the diner where she has waitressed for 4 years because other customers always pick up his tab.

P.S.  I found my boots :)

Wishing you all a peaceful week ahead.
