Thinking of my California friends in the vicinity of these treacherous fires.
(Is there anywhere in CA that's not in their vicinity?)

Did I say I'd joined a prayer team at St. Mary's Cathedral?
This is one of our prayers for the week:
"For the people of California threatened by wildfires, for safety."

And for the people forced to breathe the smoke — including moi.
