His Nibs . . .

Still playing with the EOS R.  Today I decided to try out the macro bellows set up – see extra at link.  Nothing artistic I'm afraid.

 
 
After I found the camera setting that allows shutter release with no lens attached (no electronics connection with the bellows) I was very pleased with the result.  A bit frustrating beforehand, and I also discovered that the RF 24-105 does not focus with magnifying lenses on.  No great loss there!
 
The image is full frame so I can expect much higher definition that with the 7D.
 
The next macro stage will be a set of extension tubes for the RF lenses – when they become available.
 
I suppose I better try out the video in the near future.  It’s apparently supposed to be something special, but I’m not over excited.
