On a seriously dull and chilly day some warming indoor cheer.   Hot baked sponge and well aged bramble jelly.  The placemat is one of a set bought to replace a well-worn wedding present.  Portmeirion Botanic Garden, an early set.  Beautiful illustrations but in this case the English name of 'Ivy Leaf Cyclamen' actually refers to autumn flowering  Cyclamen hederifolium rather than the spring flowering Cyclamen repandum here illustrated.
