Giant baubles

I haven't had a full weekend at home with Mr hazelh since the beginning of October. It has been lovely to take things easy today in Edinburgh.

That said, there was much to do today. Our tasks included collecting some tickets from the Royal Botanic Garden for the Illuminated Trail (no doubt to be blipped on Wednesday 12th December). When we were in the Garden we saw some of the displays in daylight, including these enormous baubles decorating a huge fir tree.

My main achievement of the day, however, was to complete the writing of my Christmas cards. My 'reward' this evening was to lie on the sofa and sob my way through Truly, Madly Deeply. Doing so in front of Mr hazelh was rather less embarrassing than wailing at it in the Filmhouse when the film was first released in 1990. On that occasion I feared I would be evicted for disturbing the other audience members!

Exercise today: 10 mile bike ride, small amount of walking (8,001 steps).
