A right proper chippy

Margaret drove today and as she is going to Rivington tomorrow she took me to White Coppice near Chorley. When we got there I realised I had been there before. We had a lovely walk to Brinscall along the old railway. Margaret told me there was a lovely tea shop in Brinscall for our lunch. We got there just as it was starting to rain/hailstone (very cold icy rain!!!) the tea shop was shut, how disappointing. We started to walk back when I spotted a fish and chip shop sign and it looked lit up. It was open!!! It was a really old fashioned chippy, Mrs chippy lived in the back.  they only served fish, chips, pies etc. I had a superb chip barm and a coffee, Margaret had chips and coffee. Ive not had such good chips in years. The walk back to the car was cold and wet we had walked 4.5 miles. She gave me a tour of Rivington on the way home. Had a lovely day.
