Return

Determined to get more domestic stuff done today and not wander around town, and started well with doing the cleaning and starting writing lists about the refurb I'm planning. Then Mt&H called to ask if I'd nip down to collect some presents from Harvey Nicks to save them the postage costs, so I zipped down and managed to get what they were after. Succembed to some porridge and chai at Dishoom (haven't been there for months!) before picking up some birthday cards and then getting the bus home as the rain had started (again!). Good view of the castle from the bus stop...the cold damp dull weather of this last week or so summed up nicely in the brooding rock.
Was very pleased to get my tax return done this afternoon (probably haven't done it right but it's done and that's the main thing!) then made some gingerbread biscuits for AR's party next weekend, did some prep for the week and spent the evening writing Christmas cards
