After inserting 24 fresh studs into the gaps left by casualties of braking last winter (in six of which were large chunks of glass) I couldn't face the additional tasks of fitting them to the bike, especially when the bike also requires a new front brake, fiddling to the rear light wire and refitting the rear mudflap to make it rideable.
