Landmarks

Half way across when the lighthouse appears.

We got home about midday. It had been very windy and rainy here yesterday, and not surprisingly I found a large puddle of tar coloured water on the bathroom window cill - leaking from round the chimney. It always does when the wind comes from a certain direction.

It was ‘Dervaig does Christmas’ this afternoon. A lovely seasonally warming friendly event with a produce and craft market in the village hall and carols in the church. The Dervaig Community Orchard had a stall where they were giving away little packets of wild flower seeds to encourage people locally to grow bee-friendly plants in their gardens or window boxes. We gladly provided the wild flower seeds (from Scotia Seeds in Brechin) and our postcards.
