This is the team photograph of the Unseen University side Unseen Academicals.  If they win the match against Ankh-Morpork United,without using magic,  they stand to gain a large financial prize.  The Librarian  (who was turned into an Orang- utan by a bit of magic that went awry is in goal).  What could possibly go wrong.
If you have never read one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, please try one, you are missing a treat.  When I saw that JohnEdward had set today's Mono Monday theme as Game I immediately thought of this book.
