You may have seen this before on airedaleknitters journal back on the 5th December when it was officially opened.

This afternoon my friend Yorkshirebred and I have done a tour of the Saltaire Living Advent windows as it was coming dark. Of course there are only 19 lit at the minute but there are also 1a - 1q are there to kick start the whole thing.
They were all fantastic open there own way and I will do a Flickr album of them later but I felt this certainly ranked as one of the best and deserv d another showing illuminated. It's certainly one of the biggest. Well done J!

Saltaire is a Unesco World heritage site and is always worth a visit but the advent windows are special and it,allows you to,wander up,and down the Victorian streets of this model town built by Sir Titus Salt for his mill workers.
Some of our group of ladies were disappointed not to be able to come so we may revisit later as it goes on till the 1st January.

Only one sour note, we went into Don't Tell Titus (there were no pubs in his model town) for a drink at the end and I left my camera. Didn't realise till I got home so I had to go straight back. Thankfully it was there behind the bar so I am able to share this blip with you!
