Advent window

Our turn for the advent window today. We don't live at number 21 - it's 21st December today and the winter solstice. We won't see the difference for a few weeks yet but every day brings a couple of minutes more light from now on. Hooray.

Friends and neighbours are coming in for mince pies soon. Not sure how many people to expect but with any luck enough for a party to welcome the return of the sun.
