Misty landscape

The sun shines over the mist in the Blane Valley obscuring the dwellings in Milngavie below the Campie Hills. This gives the scene an appearance similar to a  painting from the romantic era at the end of the 18th century when artists emphasised that sense and emotions - not simply reason and order - were an equally important means of understanding and experiencing the world. It could be a stretch of water rather than mist.
