Christmas Spirit

A lovely hour spent watching the birds in the garden.  They were all there at the same time.  I have not included the ones on both of the niger seed feeders ( only two at a time, of course.  Rules must be obeyed even at Christmas time ).However the other Goldfinches decided to explore what was available on the ground.  We have never seen them do that before.  They were joined by a female sparrow. Three more goldfinches were on the honeysuckle arch eating the seed that had fallen on there.  My favourite shot was the blue tit and a goldfinch sitting sociably side by side.   All in the garden was peaceful and calm.  The true spirit of Christmas.
