Beef bourguignon

Today was finally the day that I declared that I needed to stop all forms of work - Statistician and PhD related in order to get some decent rest (and have six days off). I have coughed, breathed heavily, taken my inhaler(s) several times, blown my nose and tried to rest.

Today was also the day that I made beef bourguignon. It was delicious accompanied by baby potatoes and tender stem broccoli. Yum!

It tasted even better with a glass of champagne (that we were given as part of our lovely wedding presents). I’m still not 100% a great fan but this one was pleasant! I did not drink too much as I am up at 5.30am tomorrow for my Christmas drive south (Chris follows soon)...
