Preparing to configure Windows....

My Asus laptop crashed last week (again) and this time had to get sent away to be fixed (hopefully). As a freelance, I rely on having a working machine, so the inconvenience has included time trying to fix it myself, time to take it to PCWorld, the cost of a replacement machine (HP this time), and the cost of setting up the new laptop.... plus the time taken catching up with client projects and making excuses....

I had a telephone call from an engineer in Worksop telling me that he had got my laptop working. My new machine then notified me it was updating - a bit nerve-wracking after all my outages since October.
