Meanwhile

Out in the garden the mild weather has brought a flush of new flowers from the winter iris.  This lovely darker flowered one is a seedling from a cultivar called 'Mary Barnard'.  Plenty more of these to come.   There are a lot more snowdrops nosing through and hellebores budding.  Along the back of the house the strong sweet scent of Chimonanthus, aka Wintersweet was very welcome.
