Snow Falling

We would really like a bit more snow so we can get started with this winter's x-country skiing season. We had a heavy but brief fall today, but with rain forecast for tomorrow and then no more precipitation for the next 9 days it looks like we could be waiting a while.
The woodpecker on the bird feeder doesn't mind the weather, as long as it has a steady supply of peanuts.
We were out of the weather this evening as we went to the cinema to see the latest Mary Poppins film. Most films are shown in their original language, with subtitles in Swedish, but children's films are more often dubbed into Swedish so we checked carefully to see what our local cinema was doing with Mary Poppins. Unfortunately all the performances were in dubbed Swedish so we had to drive all the way to Sundsvall to see it in English. It wasn't a "great" film but I thought it was well done and definitely worth seeing.
On the way there we stopped in Birsta shopping center, which I usually refer to as the Temple of Mammon.  Shopping definitely seems to be worshipped there and there were even a couple of golden idols reindeer outside. (See extra)
