New Year Community Challenge

What a wonderful response to the challenge, with great images of how you spent that special time of the year. 
 
Many of us shared the occasion with friends and/or family, some sporting boas or sparkles, others scrambling to find matching outfits, always in good humor.
 
Food and drinks often took center stage: black eyed peas for good luck in Texas, traditional oliebollen in the Netherlands or steak pie in Scotland, having a winter picnic, or toasting champagne in the woods. 
 
Some celebrated around a bonfire, at the beach, by taking cold dips – brrrrr – in England or Scotland, jogging in Finland, admiring views in New Zealand, pulling Yule logs or participating in The Ba’ in Scotland, listening to a brass band in the US, watching movies together, or playing Mahjong.
 
And of course, there were fireworks from all over the world:Australia, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Finland, and Brazil.
 
And then it was over – with a few remnants and sleeping bodies :)
