Dahlia

Here are Boyd, head of our Horticulture, Forestry and Enterprise College, with John, trimming part our Dahlia hedges, which we grow as boundaries around the place.

 They grow very quickly from cuttings and can provide a 1 inch thick live fence.  Here the hedge has got a little ahead of us.

The bonus is that it is a nitrogen fixing plant and we use these leaves to make liquid manure
