The Way I See Things

Yesterday's lovely light turned out to have been a meteorological error, which was rapidly corrected: today we were back under a blanket of thick, grey murk. Sigh.

So with no particular reason for getting out and about, this morning R and I blasted through the taking down and stowing away of the Christmas decorations, before rewarding ourselves with a late lunch in Stratford. It was while we were walking back to the car that I saw this scene, which I initially liked just for the dark boat disappearing into the gloom - but when I saw the pilot's fabulous hair I couldn't resist the shot. I would love to have mine this colour, but I fear that if I tried it I'd look like a demented red setter.

R's comment was that he thought the chap was probably grateful that today was his day to match the boat, and hers to match the life belt.
