Sculthorpe Moor

I saw on the local news yesterday that Sculthorpe Moor has been successful in securing a National Lottery grant of £821,700. This is nearly half of their £1.7M project to acquire two large parcels of land either side of the current reserve and also develop the infrastructure needed for a successful nature reserve. The rest of the money is being raised through public donations. So as I was feeling a lot better today I decided to pay a visit and introduce A to the reserve. We didn't see the otters that had been seen just before we arrived at one of the hides, but we did see a very striking pale morph buzzard (as identified by a volunteer guide). I couldn't get a good photo of it as it was too far away, but I've added it as an extra for now for those interested in having a look.
