Wide Wednesday - Buildings

I wanted to show the difference in architectural styles that exist here in Zihuatanejo, so I wandered the streets of our downtown snapping away. This is the shot that best represented what is available; from low slung single buildings to multistory (though no more than five floors in Zihua proper) high-rises. The other thing this photo shows is the principal of never finishing a project. The building on the right has looked like this since we moved here nine years ago. No construction has ever taken place on the upper floors, but I have been told that if there is rebar in place (as is visible here) the project is always "under construction" and taxes don't have to be paid on the finished job. Don't actually know if it is true, but there is an awful lot of rebar sticking out the top of buildings all over town.
