Little Showoff

A longlegged fly on a curry flower. There are a lot of these colourful flies about at present. They come in two sizes- very small and very, very small. This is one of the latter. For comparison, the curry flowers are 4mm across.

They run about on any outdoor surface, and they have no fear of people. They’ll settle on your skin, and if brushed off, will return to the same spot. They feed on nectar and tiny insects.
