Bubo virginianus

Beetham Nurseries are holding an "Orchid Weekend" with speakers from Burnham Nurseries, possibly the countries main Orchid stockists.  They brought many different plants for sale, there was a re-potting service for those who needed it.  Before some bright spark mentions it I know the above is not an Orchid.

One of the other attractions was "Bob's Owls."  He only brought two this year - this great Horned Owl.  Know in Canada i am told as the Canadian Great Horned Owl despite its range being down to almost south America.  There was also a lovely female Snowy Owl, see extras.

I resisted the temptation to spend ££££s on various Orchids if I had it would have been the one shown in the extras, Paphilopedilum maudiae.
